Welcome to the School of Nursing and Midwifery

The QUT School of Nursing and Midwifery was established in 1978 and is the oldest and largest centre for tertiary nursing education in Queensland. We have developed our courses, which are internationally recognised for their high quality and focus on practice, by consulting and collaborating with health-care agencies and relevant professional associations. We offer students a variety of entry pathways with flexible study options.

Our facilities at the Kelvin Grove Campus Linked to another web site and Caboolture Campus Linked to another web site are of the highest quality. Our lecture theatres and tutorial rooms are equipped with contemporary multi-media facilities and our qualified and experienced staff are committed to providing effective learning experiences. We continue to foster joint academic positions in conjunction with health-care agencies to ensure that our teaching and research are relevant to current practice.

Head of School Professor Helen Edwards
